Week 5  term 4.... Ending friday 19th Nov.

What a wonderful week we have had at school, with all our wonderful Children who felt ok about returning to school after 3 months of having to stay home.

As some of our children have decided with their Parents that they would continue to stay home and participate in Disatnce learning programmes, I truely want to acknowledge how much we miss having all our children back at school.

We also certainly respect our parents chioce to keep children at home.

Our play grounds tho were not the same at all as we only had les than half the school returning through out the week.

There have been so many amazing changes happening around the school in 3 months.

We now have class room numbers for each class room that look really cool and groovy based on all our school values.πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜

Look even closer and you will see that we now have a Pasifika Fale (House)covering the small stage area, outside rooms 12,13.

Sooooooo many children have played on, ran through, lay in, laughed in, dramatised in, talked in, slept in, and eaten in our Pasifika Fale  this week.

Malo, Faafetai lava! Ia manuia Mitaki Lahi...πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

It truely is a great asset to our play ground, and getting lots of use.

As you drive up the long drive way from Peter Buck road, you will se such awesome signs up again, displaying our school values.

There are a few more surprises that are added additions to our school environment, which I will leave for you to discover.

Take care out there everyone, remember to wear a mask, sanitise, and keep your distance are rules that we still need to be following.

Stay safe until next week!πŸ˜†πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜€

NAMASTE NAMASTE NEW WINDSOR COMMUNITY:)

We have just finished a wonderful week of festive celebrations where the focus for the week was on the wonderful and colourful Hindu celebration of DIWALI.

THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS.

There are five days as observed days for Diwali celebrations.

Dhanteras: Worship of wealth.

Naraka Chaturdasi: Choti (small) Diwali

Laxmi Pooja: Diwali

Govardhan Pooja: Bali Padyami

Bhai Dooj: Love between brothers and sisters.

Many of our students have posted to their blog pages what they have learnt or sharing facts about the

Diwali festival of lights celebration.

In our bubble school we had a beautiful and yummy morning tea where our awesome learning assistant Mrs Falguni put on a scrumptious Diwali morning tea.

Everyone else bought a plate of food to share and we swapped small gifts which each other .

The tables were adorned with moving lights that Mrs Abercrombie especially brought into school to add to the festivities.

It was a wonderful morning tea where we also learnt about the actual importance of the celebration too.

How did you celebrate Diwli in your house if you celebrate diwali at this special time of the year?

Please take time to check out some of your childs class /student blogs on the festivities this week .

Happy Diwali everyone!
