WEEKLY BLOG .WEEK ENDING FRIDAY 1ST OCTOBER.

last week of term 3.

Kia ora atu everyone..

We should all be celebrating moving to level 3!  this week. What great news for AucklandersπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

We still have a long way to go yet, before we have contained the Delta Virus  tail but at least we have a little more freedom to move around, and to bring back some normality to our daily happenings.

This week saw the delivery of Ministry of Education learning packs to School.

A few staff were at School on Monday and Tuesday preparing the learning packs for Parents to collect from school over the rest of the week, and getting ready to open the bubble school classes for essential workers children starting Wednesday.

This whole process involves a full and deep clean of the classrooms , toilets, and any other room that is to be used over the next 8 teaching days of bubble school , taking us to the end of term 3, last day  of term being Friday 1st October. All door handles  and classroom surfaces must be  fully sanitised as well.

Our school cleaners also start their deep clean of all these rooms from 3.30 every day in order to keep all our areas super clean and sanitised ready for the next day.

It was loverly to see so many of our yr 1-4 Parents collecting a learning pack from school this week, they even came out in the pouring rain on Thursday !

Thank you Thank youπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ to you all for  BRAVING the rainy  stormy weather on Thursday.

We were not delivered any Yr 5-6 packs this time.πŸ˜…πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜’

In saying that , we are very  very greatful to the Ministry of Education for delivering the learning packs.

A huge THANK YOU going their way.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ’πŸ‘«πŸ‘«πŸ‘«πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’’πŸ’’πŸ’’πŸ’’

The learning packs are full of many learning activities (Enough to last 4 -6 weeks of learning and lots of special readers)and a few treats and goodies that our children will enjoy recieving.

If you would like a learning pack and have yet to pick one up, please go to school next week and you will be given one for child. This applies only to Yr 1-4  levels.

Next week we celebrate Chinese language Week  which takes us to the last day of term 3 on Friday 1st October.

Our bubble school  this week started on Wednesday and consisted of 2 classes  with less than 10 students in each. The  number of students allowed per bubble class is 10, so we were just under.

These children of all ages had so much fun , learning and connecting with each other over the first 3 days of bubble school .

There are so many important rules that need to be in place for bubble school attendance such as no touching/connecting with anyone.Keep 2 metres distance.

Masks are optional for students to wear, compolsory for all adults to wear.

Sanitising and the washing of  hands must take place at every appropriate time, with no play equipment and learning tools  allowed to be shared with anyone.

Each student has their own bag full of what they need for the day.

Our bubble school students  have adapted really well  to all the health and safety rules really quickly, and play their part in  helping to keep ourselves all safe too.

It is awesome to see them all working togther to help keep our health and saftey rules and processes in place and still smiling  when they go home at 2.45pm daily.

We now await the Government announcement on Monday Oct 4th, 4pm,

( to begin Tuesday 5th October ) as to whether we  change from level 3 to level 2 or not.

Heres hoping we do change levels, so that we can resume some normality to our daily lives , and all be able to venture out and about, as we enter into the first week of the Term 3 holidays.

5 learning days to go, lets make the most of the 5 days,

Keep safe , and keep smiling everyone, we are doing ok...WE GOT THIS✊✊✊✊πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Nofo A,

Ms Siohane.
