WELCOME TO TERM 2 LEARNING πŸ˜„πŸ˜ƒ

I was very fortunate  in the holidays time to attend a Pasifika Fono with over  350 in attendance of educators through out the country. The theme of the Fono was NA LEO I KO OLAU

Translated means: Where we come from and who we come from.

lANGUAGE IDENTITY AND CULTURE

Is a pivotal component of who Pasifika peoples are and the values that are strongly embedded within

 Pasifika peoples .

Take outs from the Fono were:

Building Cultural confidence with our Children to enable them to be confident speakers and leaders.

Pasifika Champions are Pasifika peoples (Parents, Grand Parents relatives, Aiga, Fanau,Teachers/Faiagoa)

who mentor and  encourage our pasifika children to build their capacity in all areas of growing in leadership, and other areas such as the four pillars of well being:

Spiritual

Physical

Mental

  1. Wow Phonderly I didn't realise there was such a big turn out for this event. How awesome is that. I love this picture by the way, and your insights into the take-away sessions from the conference.
