This week we celebrate Tongan Language week.

This years theme for Tongan langugae week is Fakakoloa O Aotearoa aki a e Ako Lelei.

This means to enrich Aotearoa with holistic education.This involves diverse forms of learning and how Aotearoa can benifit from it.

Useful everyday words in Tongan are:

Malo e Lelei :Greetings/Hello

Alu a :Goodbye -to those who are  leaving 

Nofo a: Goodbye to those who are staying.

Fakamolemole : Please

Malo aupito: Thank you.
